Abe was a little bit of a troll too. I recently read that he paraded down the main streets of Richmond only a week after it was lost to the Union. Pretty harsh for the people there who all lost loved ones in the war and probably didn't even have anything to eat.

I guess that every black person named "Jefferson", "Jackson", "Washington", etc. should remove themselves since they are named after alleged racist US presidents. Slaves did not have last names. They were permitted to pick one when freed.
Or they were given the name of their owners. Not quite "picking their own name."
