No wonder that the daughter was present at an antifa, not permitted protest.

As a para legal she should have know that wasn't allowed.

That doesn't mean she deserves to die but she accepted the risk from going to a place where riots could start.

The murderers in the car is the one responsible for the death of the young lady.

Don't blame anyone else for that or you should name the previous president for not upholding the laws of the country.

If the mom doesn't want to receive condolences from the president that to me says that this mom is a left wing person who didn't raise her daughter much manners!
How do you know she was protesting with Antifa, did they have uniforms on their back?

The counter protestors did have a permit so that is yet another lie by Trump, no big deal we are used to it. Those people marching around Lee's statue on Friday night did not have a permit by the way.

The fact that you can have white supremacists marching in a city to this extent and a former Grand Wizard of the KKK complimenting the president tells us a lot about Trumps supporters.

The lady was torn between protesting from what I have read, I would expect that a lot of people would confront the KKK if they were marching in their town.

Sounds like the mom and daughter were the picture of class, I can understand why she declined to speak with Trump, I doubt if you can.

Normally I would respond but just like your dear leader the "round mound of nonsense" I am going to ignore you.

I feel so sorry for this young woman's parents. They don't only have to deal with her murder, they have been thrust into the media spotlight. Shame, Shame, Shame on everyone asking them to politicize her death or even be coherent after such a devastating loss. Only people who have never experienced such a premature and violent death of a very loved person would be so uncaring.

When it comes to this specific argument, any idiot should/would know that this event was not going to end well just given what both sides were wearing, their attitudes and how close together they were being allowed to get.

Doesn't take much intelligence to understand/see that a lit match placed next to gasoline fumes will explode.

True enough. Particularly since both sides sought engagement for political spinning then had many participants who welcomed the drama. The Boston Rally did much better by prohibiting any sorts of clubs and back-packs much less guns. Sometimes the weapons (real, makeshift and otherwise) just need to GO.

We just returned from a visit to an my aunt who is now in an assisted living facility in Texas. It blew me away to see that the ONLY sign on the door was: No guns allowed. Concealed or open carry. Really.

I figure if folks visiting elderly dementia patients (and the residents themselves !!!) aren't allowed to have guns then keeping them out of the hands of political rally participants probably also is wise.

(And here, I'm not an apologist for the C'ville police and possible errors made but trying to police in a highly charged atmosphere with that kind of firepower around had to be a bit daunting.)

Both sides were aggressive and both sides came to fight....surprising that only 1 person was killed actually.

The ANTIFA fascists are no different than the white nationalist fascists....they both want to take rights from others.

Yes, but I guess you have to be a f'ing GENIUS to not drive your car into a crowd of people and then back up over them again.

What is the point of even making a comment like this?

Couldn't agree with you more on this. Part of the permit process for these rally's should include no weapons allowed. Although certain groups are flying under the radar by putting nails in flag poles and such. So it would be a tough rule to enforce.

I think law enforcement should have had a border around the W/S group.
