Yippee. He has threatened (indirectly, via leaks) that he would stir up Trump's base if he was ousted because he knows how to manipulate Trump's base. He's the mastermind behind a lot of the crazy propaganda that is pro-Trump and anti-leftist. He can turn a lot of Trumpists against Trump with propaganda, if he chooses. That's why Trump kept him so long. He also warned that he would go after The Drudge Report and McMaster to trash them if he was ousted.

This is just another daily dose of drama associated with the Trump presidency. It sure is entertaining. Wonder what crazy stuff will happen next week, and the week after.

Exactly. Trump is very conveniently forgetting that. Bannon was probably the one true visionary and someone with a coherent, alternate worldview within the administration. I've admired Bannon for years.

This isn't going to go over well, and has likely set the wheels in motion of what is going to be a landslide defeat for Trump in the next election.

This is 100% Steve Bannon.

Almost nothing has been done from Trump's promises. The best thing that has been done is the nomination of Neil Gorsuch, maybe followed closely by the immigration proposal. We took on healthcare first, blew our political wad on it, instead of winning much easier fights in taxes and infrastructure.

Trump won because of Bannon's messaging, and has sided with Democrats like Cohn and Kushner. The administration has become an extension of the swamp.

Trump has driven the dagger into the heart of his own base. Much of the base is going to walk away now.

I'd like to think you are right but I don't think his base have any loyalty to Bannon.

He was given the option to resign, just like Preibus. That means he was fired.
