I remember Romney proposing to deal with illegal immigration was to not giving them jobs and not give them welfare and they will return to their native country on their own which to me was a moderate in the middle position....the left went wild, calling him a racist and anti-latino.....for their stupidity they got Trump.

it doesn't matter who the GOP nominates, he/she could be a RINO and the left will attack him/her with their usual playbook of a racist, anti-women and doesn't care for the poor.

They did it to Nixon and Reagan........I remember they said Reagan hated blacks and he was a racist..........I heard the same thing from the left in California when he was the governor that he was a racist against Latinos.

Looking back now, I wish Romney would have won, we wouldn't have Trump.

The lefts embrace of identity politics, non-stop hate, censorship, open borders, marxism was their downfall the average person looks at this and says I'm not voting for THAT. The days of the Bill Clinton/JFK democrat voter are OVER.

you weren't saying that in 2012........now the left wishes for Romney's immigration plan, "go back on your own".

They attacked Romney from a racist, anti-women and a tax evader........If you listen to the left in 2012 you would of thought Romney was going to get indicted for not paying taxes.....all lies, even Harry Reid said it was all lies just to get Obama re-elected.

Mitt Romney was a weak candidate, he didn't have the spine and the balls to take on the left and msm and fight them, that's why he lost. Trump did and that's why he won.

It was more than that Romney didn't win. It was the Democrats' tactics to paint him as a 1%er racist, misogynist, greedy murderer who didn't give water to his garbage collectors. Remember binders full of women? Or the man saying Romney was responsible for his wife's death from cancer for him being laid off? Or the car elevator? Or the investigative piece in the Washington Post about Romney's prep school days when he was a teenager. A 65 year old man! Imagine being judged today on your 17-year old self.
