Only idiots believe that just because every member quit then the program is defunded.

Good grief. Funding is done via the budget.

If you look at the first letter in each paragraph it spells RESIST. love it!
Can someone explain to me why we need an arts council, why it exists, and why we aren't worried about more important things?

The councils may or may not be necessary but it is the 'idea' that nobody wants to work with this administration that may potentially work against this administration.

Not for the base -- we know that. The base is loyal. But the base isn't what won the election.

The revolving door of staff, councils being disbanded. Republican party seemingly not able to agree on key legislative issues.

All of that, combined isn't what any administration wants.

ROTFLMBO! Don't you just love how this PATHOLOGICAL LYING PUTRID WHITE TRASH will soon be out as POTUS with not one single legislative victory! So much for all his 'WINNING'....LOL,LOL,LOL,LOL!

The arts are important. I can't answer why we need an arts council though.

You mean Banjomike's excellent explanation in Post #32 (posted 8 hiours before you asked this question) wasn't clear enough? You've just got to be kidding.

Ivanka/Kushner/Donald Jr/Eric Trump are are going to be directly affected.. Money laundering etc etc etc and there's NO WAY his POTUS status will be able to save the TRUMP BRAND!! It's not just America.. but INTERNATIONALLY!!

Seems the members of his Digital Economy advisory council are leaving as well.

Anyone want to argue good riddance, that the WH administration doesn't need to know anything about the digital economy either?

Why do they? The WH doesn't create policy. The WH only signs off on the policy of others. We can survive without all of these councils just fine.

The idea that nothing can get done without these councils is silly.
