In other words nothing will change on both the let or the right.

I think Pence will take us back to the 50s but it would be 100 times better than what we have in the Trump bucket.

Pence is a super conservative. But at least he's worth respecting and can give speeches with a vocab better than a 4th grader. I don't support Pence but can live with him.

I tell you what we'll do - We'll give Pence all our cooperation equal to what the republicans gave Obama when he took office.

How's that for a deal? Also, it would probably be a good idea to accept it. it's the best you're going to negotiate.

I don't think so.

They'll grumble as per usual, but they won't be nearly so passionate about their disagreements as they would with Trump.

I think when it comes down to it, people are simply afraid of him starting WW3 or permanently damaging the economy because of how unpredictable he is.

Pence won't exactly win fans with his archaic social stances, but people will feel much safer with him ruling the country.

WHY? Didn't seem to hurt the right when they vowed to obstruct Obama at every juncture and did, they're agenda was clear and even with control of Congress those bozos still can't kill the ACA.

The right's picking what it planted, they're idiots if they don't realize that's life.

Trump is doing a fantastic job undermining his own administration. Personal responsibility, try it sometime.

Oh, so in a two party system, the one side is always trying to be the one in power ! Always wondered how that worked. Thanks OP for starting this thread, we sure did learn a lot about politics here today.

We better be careful though, because when Trump goes we better only say nice things about Pence or it might not look neighborly for us.

Pretty much anyone who isn't a crazed Trump cultist, whether right, center, or left, welcomes Pence as a huge improvement over our Neo-Nazi in Chief. For one, he can speak in legible, complete sentences. For another he doesn't tweet at 4 AM about Rosie O'Donnell and checking out porn sites. Finally, he isn't cahoots with Putin and other third world tinpot dictators and enemies of America.
And I highly doubt that he would have said, in public, that nazis are OK people. Especially after a nazi killed a woman.

The honest truth is that it would be incredibly refreshing to have a president we did not have to hear from or see every single day. One who is not so needy that he needs attention 24/7. It's like having a two-year-old who never lets you have a moment's peace.

Also would be great to have a president who doesn't bring his relatives into the west wing and give them vague titles, to help run the country.

We've had a dysfunctional special needs president & family for months--though it seems like years. It's hard to remember what a normal sane presidency is like, but I would welcome it.
