They lost the civil war to the north. So they should really not even have the right to have these statues or their flags. And why are they even celebrating the fact that they Lost? It would be like the losing football team flying their school flag around the football field after a loss. Hey everyone, let's celebrate and draw attention to being losers!

And they weren't even constructed until decades later, mostly to scare black people and say "hey, this is a reminder that we don't give a **** that you're now free."

Crazy, eh?

They were traitors and losers.

Nazis also lost.

Wonder if they see a pattern here?

Are you saying a man shouldn't be allowed to have a statue or flag on his private property?

I'm just clarifying. It's a broad statement.

So, will you take it away from them?

Exactly.

They like the story the statues tell.

The history books point out that they were foolish to begin with, the north had most of the manufacturing, railroads, etc. Their general were traitors to the nation they vowed to protect. After thousands were maimed and murdered, Sherman rubbed their noses in their stupidity and they threw in the towel.

Had this failed insurrection been in say Russia or China, the outcome would have been somewhat more dire.

As a result of the generosity and attempts to heal the wounds, 150 years laters, the descendants of these traitors are still waving their ridiculous Confederate flags and keeping company with Nazis.

Enough already.

Na. I don't care enough to and have better things to do. I'm not sure how that would be possible anyways. I'm just trying to point out the stupidity of it all.

Yup. We already understood we were conquered but those statues meant business lol, which makes all the hand-wringing over them coming down quite comical.
