Those civilians that were in charge are the biggest reason so many of our guys are killed or maimed. Look at the ridiculous ROE's that they were given under those knuckleheads including Obama.

I'm not worried about generals running policy in the white house, its the generals made of stone watching over our parks that pose the real threat

What's the difference when your presence in another country no longer has any purpose?

Maybe if the generals were running things the last 17 years, we wouldn't be in this mess.

You're completely ignorant of how I felt when Obama was escalating the war.

Tell that to those deployed there and their families.

So, basically Trump is continuing the Obama strategy. Got it.

Can you give examples of generals ever saying a war has no purpose and should simply be ended?

It was interesting to see Juan Williams disparage Gold Star families and in particular Gen. John Kelly last night on Fox's "The Five" and get owned by Kimberly Guilfoyle.

To early for a link but I'm sure I'm not the only one who watched it.

Yeah, it's always better to have a bunch of draft dodging civilians that never had a job other than to be on the public dole running the military. It never ceases to amaze me how 'brilliant and all knowing' these damn politicians become as soon as they get elected. It's like sending a politician with the Navy Seals when they go on a mission to tell them how to do it .
