MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough described the Democratic party as “wandering around in the wilderness” Monday and said Republicans still have the political advantage.

“It’s the Democratic party right now, that seems to be wandering around in the wilderness. They’re out of power, Republicans are out raising them, and a lot of the Senate races don’t seem to be going their way,” he said on “Morning Joe.”

Scarborough explained President Donald Trump remains more popular in House districts Democrats are trying to flip than Democratic leaders Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer.

“Almost all of the seats Democrats need to take from Republicans, Donald Trump is more popular than Nancy Pelosi and probably Chuck Schumer,” he said.

He's correct. Democrats have been in a funk for years, but thought they were ok because Obama was President. And they seem to still have an issue understanding they have some serious problems

Die hard Conservative and a registered republican. The republican party has been a joke but they're head and shoulders above the left.

Getting rid of pelosi and schumer and the more progressive part of the left would do wonders for them. The Blue Dogs and the ones who fought based on the issues and not on what party leadership told them to do. That's what is needed.

I don't care what Joe says or believes!

Today he will admit this and tomorrow he has memory loss. The guy should not be on the radio or TV.

when the party loses the house, senate, W.H. and the majority of the governorships and state legislative branches in the country then they have a problem and they have no clue how to fix it.

Joe is a moron, I can't believe he still has a show. I never liked him when he was a politician and never liked him when he went on tv.

Call me cynical, but I think most of what Morning Joe says about Donald Trump is approved and or suggested by Ivanka and Jarred.

The Ds still let the labor union lawyers and Emily's list direct the message. They are wandering in the wilderness.

Joe is a republican who until recently kissed up to trump. Not sure what the falling out was about, but one day he flipped and went all out anti-Trump and kept saying "president bannon" to get on his nerves.

The Democrats need to get it together. Altho polls show dems ahead of Republicans in 18, they are way ahead in fundraising. I've recently become politically active, as have many Dems, and am hopeful we can turn things around in 18.

polls said Democrats would take back the Senate in 2016

Democrats seem to have an advantage in polls, but it doesn't equate to real life results

He's right. The party and the mainstream news media are still completely out of touch. If anything, they are worse now than they were in 2016.
