Agreed, NFL came down on the wrong side of history when they decided to restrict Kaepernick's right to make a statement, and a lot of people won't stand for it. Their choice, and it will cost them some money, but good for them for sticking to their values and keeping everyone in their place, right?
It just baffles me that these people, including our President, will put their reputation on the line to defend the KKK and Neo-Nazi's, but when a black man wants to make a peaceful statement, not hurting anyone, they vilify him and destroy his career without giving an ounce of consideration to his point, or even considering if he had a point.
Equally baffling is that these same people think celebrities on the left need to S the F up, and have no place having free speech, but when Kid Rock or Ted Nugent spouts off some racist hate, they think "it's about time". (NOTE: I think Kid Rock and Nugent have the right to spout their ingorance, just like anyone else who has a mic and an audience. But for crying out loud, it is so thinly veiled when people bash groups who don't agree with them, and then praise those who do agree for doing exactly the same thing. I wonder if OP was as enthusiastic about Roger Waters right to an opinion?)
