After all these rich, spoiled turds taking a knee to our flag and anthem, and then the Cleveland Browns, I'm taking this season off, for a start. I'm not watching one freaking game. Screw these idiots.
You have the people trying to shut down football for concussions, and then you have the players taking a knee to disrespect the nation.... I think maybe it's time these fools found themselves out of a job.
Then, they can move on over to basketball, and end that sport as well.
I've not watched a game in years. I think the last game I watched was the one were Madden wouldn't shut his pie hole ranting negatively about the Blue Angeles flying over the stadium during a game. The best decision I made in a long time.
I do not see how. Literally every person I know, except for my parents, who still hold on to cable is for ESPN. That's it. Their ratings are just fine.
It's sad that the people who are behind Kap don't even watch football at all. The guy really sucks.
Plus, he was the starter QB who significantly regressed over the years. He's only good for a backup position, but he doesn't want to be a backup.
Heck, look at what happened to RG3. The guy used to be a beast and now he's not on a team, neither. RG3 and Kap both have the same styles at QB, and defenses figured this out a long time ago.
This is why I'm not shocked at Kap not being picked up by a team. But....OH NO EVERYTHING IS RACIST!
...defend the KKK and Neo-Nazi's, but when a black man wants to make a peaceful statement, not hurting anyone, they vilify him and destroy his career without giving an ounce of consideration to his point, or even considering if he had a point.
This is not a binary thing. There are people (like me) that might actually deign to defend racist bigots' speech whom also support Kaep and whatever he wants to do. By insinuating it is binary you are part of the problem, not the solution. That said, Kaep did what he did and plenty of people disagree. The role of an NFL franchise is to generate a profit and if they believe he would impede that over and above his positive contributions, they aren't going to hire him. It's that simple.

I watch ESPN and it's painfully obvious where the social justice is being injected into their conversations. I don't think they can necessarily avoid it but it's not at all why I watch.

Who the f*&! cares about a piece of cloth? If you are christian do you worship the crucifix or your god?
Enough of the these commie/ BLM/ anti America scum like Colin Kaepernick . Good to see some celebrities stand up for our nation, our troops and law enforcement and against left wing/communist anti american hatred
The NFL 2017 will be a disaster. Viewing figures will be even less than 2016. In fact after the end of the 2017 season, Roger Goodell will announce plans to look at the game and how it can reengage fans lost over the last few seasons. Then again , Goodell might even decide to go all out and encourage more players to protest. If there is attempt by the NFL exec. to stem the flow of departing fans; to side with protesting voices in the player ranks, then there is something somewhere who is starting to weaponize the NFL for political gain.
Merchandise sales will take a huge hit this season as we are already seeing this preseason fan apparel sales are already down over previous years.
