Other countries ARE making stuff - China is building and opening factories in them.

Tell us about countries that can provide a workforce of a million or more for ONE employer....people who will show up for work every day and work hard and do it right? Tell us how long it takes to train a couple generations of engineers and then build infrastructure like Bullet Trains, vast Hydroelectric capacity and all the other stuff needed to be "the factory of the world".....???

It can't be done....in any reasonable time frame.

Now - if we wanted to actually have a real country here in America...and we made a stuck to a 20 year plan and stopped bombing and pissing off most every country in the world....we might be able to put something together in a couple decades to partially replace some of their production.

But count them - 7.2 BILLION people in the world to buy stuff from China. The US features a shrinking middle class while the rest of the world is seeing a rise in theirs.

They DID need us. Now they don't. We need them. 80% of the stuff that we are all typing on and the infrastructure behind it is made there. How would you like it all to "go dark"?

China, along with other countries, are laughing at us...shaking their heads as to why a formerly successful country can't even get the very basics together (a plan, for instance).

We have about 35%.

They make stuff.
We manufacture HATE and some decent killing machines.

They already have a larger middle class than we do and can sell to that and every other blooming middle class in the world.

No - we are not conjoined twins. They have learned well and, unlike Americans, are not scared to work. Therefore, they have succeeded beyond any society in history (lifting 100's of millions out of poverty in a few decades)....

In the process they have made a LOT of Billionaires.

The US really is falling fast....this is what happens when you rely on fate instead of actual planning and working toward that thing called "the future". We'd rather blame it on someone else like our Puzzy Grabber in Chief does.

Hopefully you've read about these sanctions. They cover almost nothing. I promise you that imports from China to the USA will hit a new record in 2017 and then again in 2018. Just watch.
Nice dose of Reality and Facts, which the brain dead will promptly ignore, as was proven right after your post. Eh.....

I thought Trump had China under control. Taken care of.

He did give them the most bu-ti-ful piece of chocolate cake! How ungrateful are they?

Yeah, China making stuff is how millions of Americans lost their jobs. They are the reason why we lost the middle class.
We don't need them to get cheap plastic stuff. Countries with cheaper labor cost like Vietnam, Bangladesh, Ethiopia, etc. will fill that void in a heart beat. In the near future automated manufacturing will make overseas labor obsolete anyway. How did this ridiculous Chinese lie that America will collapse without their products even get regurgitated so much?

China making reliable products? What a laugh! Most of my China made products failed after two years of use.

We don't need China.

China's wages are going up that's why they're trying to build factories elsewhere now in dirt poor countries. They're outsourcing jobs now like we do but they make sure they strictly control it and how it effects the market. We should be doing similar things if we're not going to build factories in our own country.

Lol....half what you just wrote is BS and the other half ignores that China's elite would suffer greatly without their main market.

So basically, you don't like Trump and we understand that but to just make hyperbolic statements of the outcome because you're trying to influence people (because you don;t like trump) is kinda wrong wouldn't you agree?

Shouldn't we present reasonable facts and then discuss a course of action?

Um, considering our press would (rightfully) lambast us for operating the equivalent of a slave labor camp in malaysia....how do you compete against a Chinese company that doesn't have to face any environmental, political, or news ramifications?

Oh and the biggie....legal. LMAO China blatantly abuses patent laws, but sure...go ahead and sue them in court. LMAO.

Casper, there are gross errors in her statement which I only see via your post because I put her on ignore for obvious reasons.

You actually just cheered on a description of 1920's USA where crony unfetter capitalism concentrated huge wealth with the elite while grinding workers to dust. Huzzzah! We have billionaires but FOXCON had to put up G-damn suicide nets around their buildings.

On top of that they have rampant environmental damage from no regulation as to chemicals etc. Cancers...etc etc.

Wow! What a success story!

But wait! The Communist party, the ONLY allowable party has an 80% popularity ranking?

You know what that means? We need to give out beatings to the 20%.

Seriously, WTH is wrong with you guys? Hate Trump sure but to come in here rah rah rah about crony capitalism in an ironfisted oligarchy without an real democracy? You're cheering that?

I have to ask. What sane individual cites China's leadership approval rating?

It's like having a team meeting and the boss asking you, "Raise your hand if you think I'm doing a good job".

I'm saddened and laughing at the sheer stupidity at the same time.

China will not do any of that.

Who will they sell their cheap stuff to, if not us?

Screw the Chinese.

The Chinese are perhaps most responsible, after the murderous Kims in North Korea, for the misery suffered by the North Korean people these past 70 years. Let the Chinese sort things out.
