Hmm.. Guess what. One does not need the physical diploma. It is a gesture. Btw this is the same Liberty university that once try to force students go to prayer until the government said they would no longer provide federal funds,
A meaningless gesture. So they're not willing to forego the benefits Liberty University has provided, they're just returning the piece of paper. That'll show 'em!
Amazing how many of these viral 'heroes' come out of the woodwork to showboat and grandstand over Trump.
Quit a high profile position and write some self serving very public message about how you are quitting over Trump.
Turn in your diplomas because you don't like Trump.
Do this and do that because you don't like Trump, and be sure that you broadcast it all over the internets so you can pat yourself on the back and boost your ego over how 'courageous' and 'brave' you are.

Soooo fake and dumb.
No more fake and dumb with all the stuff conservatives have done in the past.
Allow them to return the diplomas but rescind their degrees and do not forgive their loans.
In most cases Liberty is not underwriting the loan so it is not up to them. Rescinding degrees would be illegal. So other than that well... Your suggestion is useless

My suggestion is as useless as their gesture, then.
As Kracer noted the group has 300 members. That doesn't mean all are grads and furthermore that doesn't mean those that sign up saying they'll send it back actually will.
It's symbolic anyway.
Employers want transcripts, not diplomas, to verify that you've graduated.
This has no impact on the recent grads whatsoever. If they really wanted to show their displeasure they should ask Liberty to void their transcripts.
Also, Kudos to Liberty for playing along. The recent grads probably thought Liberty would be embarrassed about the gesture but they took the high road on this one.
And that's something you can't learn in college...apparently.
Sure, sure. Returning the physical document doesn't tell us much. Will they be leaving their education off their resumes? Doubtful.
...
"I'm sending my diploma back because the president of the United States is defending Nazis and white supremacists," Chris Gaumer, a former Student Government Association president and 2006 graduate, tells NPR.
Jerry Falwell Jr. wasn't even appointed until 2007. Returning your diploma 11 years later seems like a pretty meaningless gesture in my opinion. How about volunteering for a cause or something useful?
