Iowa Congressman Steve King is on Tucker Carlos right now explaining how Trump will get the wall. He said it will be cheaper than building an interstate.

Thing is,

18 US Code 1385 forbids the use of federal troops to enforce domestic laws except in cases and under circumstances expressly authorized by the Constitution or Act of Congress. So the military could only be used if the US were facing an actual military invasion, not a steady trickle of individuals violating immigration law.

Barring that actual military invasion, border security is the responsibility of DHS.

That’s why the National Guard has been used so often in local troubles: they are managed by the states and are not subject to the posse comitatus limitations.

I think national guard should be used to secure the border, enforce the immigration laws, and Everify would be the answer.

Uh huh, that is right. Privacy Fencing - Concrete Walls will be waste of money if law cannot be enforced.

If law can be enforced, then DHS + EVerify should be enough to do the job.
