It is part of the leftist feeding frenzy. Anyone who criticizes any mimority group for anything is a NAZI, even if they are black. Blacks don't want to learn Spanish and don't think that they should have to, therefore they are racist and need to learn to pick themselves up by their bootstraps, even though the left spent generations telling us that this was not possible and you are born into a social class.
My recommendation is that they work on their English and leave the McDonalds job to the illegals. Ditch the ebonics and get an office job. With affirmative action and all of the voluntary "diveristy" programs, black people only have to put in a minimal effort.
Final thought: illegal immigration is going away, and with it, the culture if Spanish is also leaving, so if they really want to work at a McDonalds, they only have to wait a few years. It is going to take a bit longer in SoCal, but in Nocal, illegals simply can't afford to live here anymore. That and the trendlines of more immigrants leaving than coming have doomed the Spanish revolution.
Spanish came to this hemisphere before English and it's in the United States to stay. I wish I had more opportunities to practice and improve with it. They say that learning a new language stimulates the brain and makes it stronger for other things and may be a help in avoiding dementia later in life.
I am confused, isn't the Young Turks and Ana herself all about minorities? "Pick yourself up by the bootstrap and learn a new language" was what Ana responded to a comment about black people being unable to get jobs at McDonald's in California because they didn't speak Spanish.
This pisses me off. Black people don't want to have to learn Spanish, and they shouldn't have to. Nor should whites or anyone else in this country. Immigration is bad for the natives, period, regardless of whether it's "legal" or "illegal".
