I remember Christie going off on the GOP during Sandy because they criticized him for welcoming Obama to NJ. Can't stand Christie but he was absolutely right in saying partisan politics had no place during a disaster.

When people were in need in the northeast, several TX senators and congressmen sent them a message of *********! I however feel that representatives from other states have far more empathy and decency and would not do such a cruel heartless thing to the citizens of Texas.

It wasn't. WaPo did a story on this that detailed it that I posted in another thread. Cruz is lying.

I saw some preliminary insured loss estimates of 2 billion in the storm which was a small fraction of the total to that point. Those will rise of course. But in the Houston area at least, they are not going to have a lot of exposure as those losses will be from flooding. Rebuilding Houston will be on the public dime, I'm afraid. Given the size and influence of the congressional delegation, it will be the most pork-laden project in the history of the nation.

Christie was slammed for his hypocrisy. He berated teachers for wanting more money but he sure went looking for money from others when it was his job on the line.

Don't forget Trump wants to cut FEMA budget by 11% and the Coast Guard by 14% but yet he wants nearly 5 Billion to build a useless wall. A wall Trump promised Mexico would pay for..

If only they wouldn't attach barnacle bill spending on every piece of legislation. Do your research

Some people are getting quite creative.
Can you imagine.

Now projecting 2 more feet of rain.

So many do not have flood insurance.

Mortgage payments are due, regardless.

Typically, oringinators / servicers have to advance funds to investors ( source of funds) regardless if homeowners make payments or not.
