They grasp that they have nothing to gain from negotiating with the lamest lame duck to ever occupy the oval office. They have no incentive to give up any favorable clauses to a guy they know is approaching his expiration date.

They'll just sit it out. tRump has zero leverage over any foreign leader.

And they ALL know that.

Trumplings still haven't figured any of that out, though. They're still living in last November.

Yup.
Trump is a fool.
He's made his foreign negotiating position weak by p*ssing off the folks he has to negotiate with - and done the same at home with the Congress. After throwing one person after another under the bus, WHO in their right mind would "go out on a limb" for Trump? NO ONE is going to "carry water" for him - either in international negotiations or domestic ones.
Worlds' WORST negotiator.
LOL

Could it be you know absolutely nothing about the negotiations and instead are just talking out of your azz, while projecting your hatred and bias on Trump?

NAFTA negotiations: Round 1 is over. Here's what's next - Aug. 20, 2017

Round 2 of the NAFTA talks are set to be held for September 1-5 in Mexico City.
Round 3: late September in Ottawa.
Round 4 will be held in Washington, D.C. in October.

In total, seven rounds are expected through December. A U.S. official cautioned that December isn't a firm deadline and that talks could stretch into early 2018.

Trump wants to walk away after the first round. Some "negotiator".

U.S., Canada and Mexico Wrap Up Nafta First Round -- Update | Fox Business

Early tensions over areas such as the so-called rules of origin -- a major issue for the automotive industry -- signaled the tough bargaining that lies ahead as the three nations try to wrap up a deal by early next year.

The chief U.S. negotiator, Robert Lighthizer, came into the talks Wednesday saying the U.S. would insist on tightening the rules of origin and adding a provision covering U.S. production, an idea quickly dismissed as unworkable by Mexican and Canadian officials.

At this early stage of the talks, it is difficult to measure the depth of the disagreement. Opening rounds generally set the tone and schedule for negotiations. The U.S. has yet to release specifics on some of its most controversial positions, including measures to reduce the U.S. trade deficit; prevent currency manipulation; favor U.S. companies in government contracts, known colloquially as Buy America; and rework rules governing arbitration panels.

Trump is true to his word. Either get a better deal for the American people or kill NAFTA.

Just another example of the hypocrisy of the left. They've been calling for an end of NAFTA or a renegotiation for years, but since it's not a Democrat (as if one was ever going to work against the corporations and globalists, lol) now it's time to crap on the idea.

News Flash: The corporations wanted NAFTA not the American people. They don't want to give back what they've fleeced the American people out of. Same with Mexico. Of course they wanted NAFTA. They got a great deal, at the expense of the American worker & our unions. Obviously they're not going to balance the scales on this deal without a fight. It took over a decade to put NAFTA together and it's been screwing us for 25+ years now. The fact that Trump doesn't have it fixed in 9 months should not shock anyone. What it is, after 25+ years....is an American president who is at least willing to try. It's a start.

Of course Trump is bad at negotiating.

He's a self interested dick bag. His primary concern is himself and his ego. His secondary concern might be his "America first" talking point. The thing is, if you're negotiating a trade deal with Mexico, they do not care about Trump's ego and they don't want to agree to anything that disproportionately benefits the US. Because why would they? A one sided trade agreement defeats the purposes of having the agreement.

And when and if Trump cancels NAFTA it means more big fights with the GOP-controlled Congress - and lawsuits galore! Total chaos and in-fighting for the GOP.
I LOVE IT!
