You have no idea how that person votes. And Houston did not vote Republican (see here:
https://www.nytimes.com/elections/results/texas) ...so, statistically, the odds are not good, actually.
I'm a white male who dresses very similarly to that man (I wear a baseball cap, jeans/outdoor pants and similar shirts pretty much all day, every day), but I am not conservative at all. Maybe you would think so by looking at me? But that would be a shallow mistake.
And you can bet your butt that I would be out there helping people like that guy if I was in the middle of a natural disaster like that. Hell, I live thousands of miles away and am seriously considering going down there to help if I can get time off (at the very least, I will be sending what I can to help).
This has nothing to do with politics. Can we not? This is a terrible disaster and these people do not deserve to be exploited like this for political gain. There are great people of all backgrounds helping out there, and they should be applauded.
