Hysterical woman notwithstanding, my posts are always genuine. What we define as "children" (outside of prepubescent) varies... greatly. Is a 14 year old still a child? 15? 16? Where do you draw the line and why do you draw it there?

A table of worldwide ages of consent, including US states

Worldwide age of consent, including the US. Might prove itself to be of interest to some.

I would still like to converse with you if you are still reading this thread. You have misunderstood my intentions and I would like to clear things up.
Are you still reading the thread?

I'm using US law for this discussion. It is interesting, but not relevent to my points so 14,16,17 or 18 depending on the state. 16 seems to be the most common.

Good point.
But in the Netherlands we recently have also outlawed animated child-porn movies. Not because the animations were lifelike, they weren't, but because the animated child in the movie hushed to the viewer at the start of the movie (indicating that they were doing something which should be kept secret) and because at the end of the movie the child was rewarded for having sex with the animated adult. So because this animated child-porn movie could be used as an instruction movie to children where sex between young children and adults is actually encouraged, the owner was sentenced for having it in his possession.

Please note, there are also states that use 14 as the age of consent. That's why I stated that the US was at the bottom of the list.

I would assume they would change.
There were many more states with 14 as the legal age of consent decades ago.

Isn't child porn illegal in the US? I understood a person must be 18 to act in porn.
