Hina Alvi the wife of Imran Awan, who fled the US to Pakistan has agreed to a deal where she will return to the US, and face criminal charges.

She got away with it, I wonder why she agreed to return to face charges, it makes you wonder what they have on her husband to compel her to come back. It's reported that she had $12,000 in cash on her while she was fleeing the country, you cannot travel with over $10k in cash without the paperwork. Hina Alvi did not have the proper paperwork, and was stopped by the police at the airport, but for some unknown reason they let her board the flight, and flee the country.

A document filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia indicates that federal prosecutors have struck a deal with Alvi that would allow her to return to the U.S., but would also require her to surrender her passport and afterwards not book any international travel.

Alvi, and Awan in particular, are the focus of investigations by the FBI and Capitol Police regarding irregularities for purchases of some computers and other equipment which was later discovered to be missing. The pair, and their associates, could have had access to sensitive government information over the years.

This case just keeps on getting stranger and stranger. Since it involves Debbie Wasserman Schultz we won't be hearing much about it from the mainstream media.
