Quote:
emocratic Rep. Luis Gutiérrez (D-Ill.) on Tuesday issued an unusually personal rebuke of White House chief of staff John Kelly, suggesting the retired Marine general has tainted his military service by working in the administration as President Trump ends a program shielding young immigrants from deportation.

"General Kelly is a hypocrite who is a disgrace to the uniform he used to wear. He has no honor and should be drummed out of the White House along with the white supremacists and those enabling the President’s actions by ‘just following orders,' " Gutiérrez said in a scathing statement, shortly after Attorney General Jeff Sessions announced that the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) immigration policy will be phased out.

The Congressional Hispanic Caucus member claimed Kelly backed out of a commitment to protect DACA recipients, who were brought to the United States illegally as children, from deportation while serving as the Homeland Security secretary.
“General Kelly, when he was the head of Homeland Security, lied straight to the faces of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus about preventing the mass deportation of DREAMers. Now as Chief of Staff, this former general is executing the plan to take away their lifeline and taking steps to criminalize young people who live and work here legally," he said.

is he right about General Kelly?

Review what Trump is actually doing

Review Guiterrez' bio

Review Kellys' bio

The question becomes a non-entity once you have the facts. Facts aren't emotional. Facts are just facts.

From what I understand, Trump actually wants DACA in some form, but they will never be legal citizens able to vote.
He wants congress to make law. Not a dictatorial ruler, like Obama tried hard to be. He wants the people to be part of the decision. No one guy, thinking for everyone.

Trump is actually doing the Constitutional thing.
your feelings, Luis Gutiérrez. You are the problem, not the solution.
Identity politics has played out.

Luis is a disgrace to all Puerto Ricans.....and my mom is Puerto Rican.

Trump is not deporting any dreamers.......he is giving Congress who has constitutional powers 6 months (he already gave them 8 months prior) to make a law which Obama failed to do and follow the constitution which Luis took an oath to protect.

that is freakin' out of bounds, low blow and totally uncalled for and I'm a Vet.......questioning a Veteran for his service and comparing him to the white supremacists by a charlatan A-HOLE that lies and always brings the race card shows what is wrong with politics and this country.

This is the same Gutierrez who said that illegals should receive amnesty to "punish" American citizens. A real representative he is. . . . NOT.

LG, another novelty product of a gerrymandered district in CA .

Responsibility, to poke a stick in the eye of political opponents and hopefully support of mexico's planned invasion of CA.

If there was no intent to invade the US by Mexico, the mexican government would be embarassed that millions of people are fleeing their country. The mx goornment would make an attempt to retain its citizens and stop sending us rapists, killers, et al that we deport and hand back to them.
