At least we picked a Democrat. And a qualified one at that, if not the most likable.

Yep. Breitbart decides who is a Rino and the lemmings follow suit.

It seems like he could be trying for some kind of run in 2020 but I don't think he'll be successful.

Yes. Because Steve Bannon and Breitbart told them so.

Sounds to me like a RINO is anyone with an R behind his or her name who has the audacity to oppose Trump about anything at all, even people who come much closer to a traditional conservative agenda than he does.

Wonder what happened to that big tent thing...

Compared to for example: Kyrsten Sinema?

She's a conservative Democrat and literally opposes a majority of their positions and you think you have the audacity to label Flake and McCain "Democrats"? Sounds like you're a Ted Cruz who just can't get your way.

By the ways... we haven't even touched the real Democrats yet... We're just tip toeing into the conservative D's. There's liberals and progressives, which by your standards, they're probably communists. Right?

Back when Kasich was a congressman he was considered a hard line conservative. The fact that many now consider him a RINO is evidence of just how far to the right that the GOP base has drifted in the past 20-25 years. To much of the current base, yesterday's staunch conservative is practically a Communist.

Kasich is a HUGE disappointment. He's banking on the lib/prog anti Trump vote to get re-elected. He will lose, especially if the economy keeps going in the right direction. Ohio is a rust belt state, and needs a good economy, as people want, and need JOBS.

And this RINO nonsense. Who gets to decide what a "true" republican is? Who sets that standard? A few ultra-right blow hards? By their standards Presidents Reagan, Bush 1 and Bush 2 are RINOS.
The same people who like to define what makes a "true American" or where "real America" is.

This RINO, along with Flake McCain Ryan Graham and the rest of them need to go away and crawl into a hole
Sensible, pragmatic, middle of the road Republicans like John Kasich are the only hope the GOP has of surviving past the 2020s. Neither the White nationalism of Trump and co. or the Tea Party ultra-conservatism of Ted Cruz and the Heritage Foundation are viable ideologies for 21st century America.

Perfect example of how crazy the GOP is now. Actual ACU ratings of flake and Mccain. 2016 rating 2015 rating and lifetime rating

Flake
79

79

93.07

MCCAIN J
88

67

81.62

Like I said. To the GOP, anything less than 90% is communist. Sooo... I look up actual Democrats. Rating seems to be 4 to 15 with Manchin of WV who is often listed as Dem Lite getting 27.

This^^^^

It's like Trump supporters never even bothered to research Trump's past. He backed anyone and everyone to be on their good side so when he needed them he could point that out, but past that, he spoke and acted like a Democrat. Trump's conservationism runs as deep as the last person to have his ear. Kasich is far right compared to Trump.
