That's because he's a Democrat at heart. Yes, he has an R next to his name but down deep he's a Democrat and Democrats like yourself know it and so do actual conservatives.
As a Republican he's totally worthless.
And yet, as a democrat who does not view Obama or Clinton as NEARLY liberal enough, the fact that I would vote for Kasich, NOT because he and I neceassarily share the same political values, but because he is at least willing to compromise on some issues, is completely lost on the majority of the right. If you don't speak in extremes, such as Cruz, Trump, or other extremists, your obviously not to be trusted. This is a prime example of why this country will never be united.
EXACTLY. Had he won the nomination I would have voted for Kasich and I have never voted for a Republican in my life. He spoke logically and from the heart. He never stood a chance with the average republican voter.
He was my guy too. But lately he's done a few things that don't sit well. I'm no longer an Ohio resident, I'm not very tuned in.
He'll be out after the election next year due to term limits, so the great state of Ohio can choose a new governor ... that will hopefully make the majority of people happy. Maybe Kasich will even be missed once he's moved on.
This RINO, along with Flake McCain Ryan Graham and the rest of them need to go away and crawl into a hole
Who died and made you the judge of who is a true Republican and who is not? You don't even live in Ohio, do you?
I don't like Kasich either, but I get a little tired of the narrow-mindedness of people in both parties who believe that they alone get to determine who is pure enough to be a member of their respective parties.
I kind of like Kasich. I would have voted for him over Clinton in the last election if that had been an option. I don't like his conservative views on abortion, which I believe to be a privacy issue, but he has done a decent job in Ohio. I was born there and have many relatives in the Cincinnati area.

Until the moderates start showing up at the freakin primaries, we will have the zealots' picks to choose from.

I like Kasich (voted for him in the primary)... guess I'm a RINO.
You stand in the great tradition of the Grand Old Party at it's very best. A bit of faded glory now, but not tarnished.
