I often hear from everyone of every political leaning that they wished for a POTUS that was not beholden to any party, corporate and political lobbies, and not out to get rich.

A POTUS that was independent and works with both sides of the isle for the good of the people.

Even the Democrats got the president they deserve. The Green party got the president they deserve. The Libertarians also got the president they deserve.

Until one of these parties nominates a better candidate that a majority of the rest of us considers a viable candidate, they will get what they deserve. It's as simple as that.

Step 2: disagree with said absurd argument
Step 3: pat yourself on the back for your superior intellect
Step 4: repeat
