Hillary Clinton's forthcoming account of the 2016 presidential campaign contains a 64-page chapter called "Sisterhood," 36 pages of which are expressly dedicated to her experiences as a woman in politics, according to a copy obtained by the Washington Examiner. In that subsection of the chapter, Clinton outlines how she believes sexism and misogyny hampered her bid for the presidency in 2016, arguing in part that questions surrounding her authenticity and trustworthiness were the result of those prejudices.
Can I just say what a sweet blessing it is that the news media is, rightfully, consumed with storm coverage as the book from HRC the Cadaver launches tomorrow. Lucky us!
And, my Gawd, her whiny screeching on the TV interviews sounds ever so horrible in context with what some of our Southern states have suffered. HRC = me, me ,me.
Hey Hildabeast, how many zeros are going to be on that check you and hubby are writing to help Texans and Floridians?
Book isn't even on the shelves yet but today the price got slashed by 40%. A $30 retail price but now $17.99. Hoot! Supply and demand, kiddies. http://tinyurl.com/y8h6yown
P.S. Don't tutor me on book pricing. I've forgotten more than any of you know.
1-sexism (No shock there)
2-racist deplorables (she's white and elite)
3-Liberalism (Bernie)
4-Russians (For releasing the fact she cheated)
5-Black voter turnout (hmm, ironic considering #2)
6-Electoral college
Which ones am I missing?
In fairness yes all exist but several of those are from her own doing or from the democratic primaries in 2008 when she got the race card played on her campaign and in 2016 when she cheated Bernie not just at the debates but with DNC support.
It's going to be funny to watch her run in 2020 against whomever the Repubs nominate which I doubt very much will be Trump.
The poor woman has no sense of timing or context...
I think there have been times in her career when she faced sexism or misogyny. Same for every 70 year old woman who pursued a male dominated professional or labor career. But in 2016, I cannot see how a sexist would consider voting for any D whether they were male or female. Part of her problem is that she gained her entre to politics as a political spouse. So she was always going to be 'the wife of' regardless.
I am tempted to buy the book just to see if she (or anyone around her) gave thought to some of her very real shortcomings. Having spent 28 years a potential candidate or the wife of one during a change election. Being tied to Clinton, Bush and Obama's most unpopular decisions. The over secrecy- healthcare 1.0, the server, the foundation, confidentiality clauses in her speech contracts. Giving paid speeches to Goldman Sachs when people were still riled by the fact that no banker or Wall Street person had been forced to serve time or pay penalties for collapsing the economy. And quite frankly- seemingly not clue that she is not personable. There is nothing wrong with lacking charisma or not being the most popular person in a room but it is definitely a suggested trait for someone running for President.
Does anyone really think that Clinton actually physically wrote that book...
