If I were to make an insurance claim, the first thing needed would be proof that the item was in my possession. Hard to prove how many pairs of shoes when half have been stolen.
There are some who believe that the system is discriminatory. So is capitalism. Smashing cars and windows and stealing is demonstration to let capitalist realize they have no control over anything. People are more important than stuff. Perhaps that is true.
It is a hard concept for me to understand. Stealing is stealing. Not matter why. I could overlook a parent for stealing food for their kid. Looting? Never.
