I think it is early days yet to make any great predictions or think this is a permanent trend -- especially with a man like Trump who could wake up tomorrow, see something on Fox and it could completely flip his agenda AGAIN.

If that's what it takes to give middle class the help it needs so be it. Trump is populist, giving the 1% more money isn't his priority. His voters are majority blue collar working class and knows they need the mosthelp.

No. I'm a former New Yorker so I know him down to his despicable, corrupt core. So I'll always denounce him on those counts. But if the Dems can navigate him toward centrist/liberal policies on major initiatives, I'll stop throwing him the finger when I see him on screen.

If Democrats can convince Trump that he'll receive more adoration (at home and abroad) by pushing the Democratic agenda than the Republican agenda, then the GOP can forget about it. The man is all about his own ego over anything else.

Of course, if the liberal public still withholds their adulation (no matter what the Democratic leadership does), then Trump's progressive experiment will be short-lived.

It seems it triggered a reaction in you though... Relax -- it is okay. We all knew Trump wasn't a true conservative....okay -- it's okay...

Obama tried to work with Republicans -- but they can't even work with their own Republican President -- how the heck do you think they would have worked with a Democratic President.

You seem a little unhappy. It's going to be okay. Relax.

I'm perfectly relaxed and more than happy with the decisions he's making. It those like the OP who need to glorify the headline that "Trump fooled us all"! There was also another one last week say that "Trump screwed his voters" because he is working with the Dems. If any you actually had listened to him during his campaign he's doing exactly what he said he'd do. I love seeing the true RINOS in an uproar and I'm glad he's shaking things up for those on the right too.

The Trump presidency is the definition of short attention span theater. It's been six whole days and nothing has happened! Time to change tactics! He has absolutely no concept of how legislation works.

But the comments to that article are hilarious. They feel so betrayed. They actually believed he was capable of governing, when, in fact, he's not capable of keeping his mind on anything long enough to see it through.

I have to admit, I'm enjoying the Trump presidency more than I ever thought possible.

Love that Trump isn't letting the republicans stop him from getting things done. This is a truly unconventional presidency and I love it.

Now, get tax cuts on corporations down to 15%, give middle class tax relief, let the rich stay the same (they aren't hurting but shouldn't pay more) and bring the overseas cash home. Maybe some Dems can help with that also!
How are we going to pay for the cuts? Don't forget we already shuffled 50b to the war pig and it just belched and farted ready for more! Also don't forget Harvey and Irma plus NFIP is 25b in the red. Oh and already incredibly high deficit spending on everything.

Don't forget social security needs a tax hike and major changes.

The White House and press secretary have already denied this.

As far as taxing the rich, Trump said this on the campaign trail so it's not news.

The media and their hacks are working overtime to turn Trump's base against him just because he met with the Dems (which he also said he would negotiate with them on the campaign trail)

The democrats base has gone so far left even Chuck & Nancy seem moderate to them.Their most prominent non-leadership politicians today rallied to nationalize a 4 trillion dollar industry. These people are insane they will drive us off a cliff as soon as we give them the wheel.

Every action has a reaction.

This will likely solidify the GOP behind ACA repeal, in order to unify again with the WH. They will want their stamp on the Biggest legislative battle this session.
