But you think a for-profit corporation is going to treat you when you are 75 with multiple health issues? You are just planning to pay out of pocket for whatever you need and get ripped off in the process as you dont have a clue about medicine in the 21st century like 99.99% of the population?

Politicians suck and are incompetent but if there is one group I trust less to do the right thing it's Wall Street. Our health should not be an investment vehicle for others.

Hopefully you are very rich, since that is the Only way that is going to happen. Thing is we are not talking about the very rich, they can afford any coverage they want, which does not apply to the other 98% of Americans.

Correct, not for emergent care.

And correct for more involved cancer care, not on their own. They do this in consultation with their local primary and specialist care docs.

Yes, they can recommend whatever they want, very different from buying a cell phone. Totally at the mercy of for-profit institutions and what they think he should do. The "consumer" is clueless and always will be.

He believes in the law of the jungle. Everyone saving up money and paying out of pocket to unregulated witch doctors who can do whatever they want and would only be restricted by the market/number of customers. Dont have the money? Born sick? Tough luck. The so-called "free market" he worships.
