What's amusing is that Orrin Hatch, the Republican chairman of the Senate Finance Committee, is saying not to expect the tax plan to be ready by the end of this month, and that anything that might be released at that time would only be "guidance or potential signposts for drafting legislation."

While Trump, at the same time, is telling everyone that a detailed plan will be unveiled by September 25th.

Is Trump truly that out of the loop, or does he just say whatever he thinks his supporters want to hear, regardless of how true it is?

Since the Regan tax cuts middle class and below tax payers have seen their rates decrease. Large portions of lower middle to poor either pay no income taxes at all and or actually receive money back from the government thanks to various credits/rebates. Yes, what many do pay is large FICA taxes, but that is a different matter.

So that leaves the two groups always favored for tax reductions by GOP; the rich to very wealthy and corporations.

It is amazing on one hand you have a branch of government arguing to raise this country's debt limit, while another wants to lower incoming revenue (taxes).

At some point in future, and no one can say when, the rest of world/credit markets are going to start taking a long hard look at how the USA handles its finances. Then we all better watch out.

If Rs can't show they are saving money somewhere, how can they justify tax breaks for the wealthy?

So simple, cut all taxes, cut spending, no revenue neutral scams.
