I don't know why Trump came out so hard on transgendered people in the military when it is such a tiny percentage.
They might be confused about who they are but they still have the ability to serve.
However when it comes to transgendered people in the military I do not think that there should be special treatment of them and our tax dollars should not be spent on someones hormone treatments or gender reassignment surgeries.
Trump should have put his foot down on that and not call for a ban.
The trouble is if the military starts offering special treatment then people will go into the service as a means to have Uncle Sam pay for their drugs and surgery.

Trump telling is loyalist that he knows more then all the generals is B.S. Yet 56 officers from each branch of the military is against Trump and his small mindedness.
What is the additional cost of having a transgender serve above and beyond the cost of a regular soldier, gay or straight? Are they joining to get the government to pay for their sex reassignment surgery and then using the procedure to avoid combat?
Probably because they military is now hemorrhaging recruits and are short of what they need for Trump's troop number increases.
Guess all those MAGA-eligibles better prepare for a draft. But, hey--it will be great for all those rural unemployed. Uncle Sam Wants You!

McCain is certainly a supporter of anyone willing to go off to be killed in our stupid wars.
As are most members of congress anyone willing to die for them not the country. Why should their children have to die when everyone else can? Let's send thier children into war and see what happens!
We have too many soldiers as it is, and tax payers dont need to be footing the bill for all the baggage they will bring.

So why do liberals really want transgenders in the military? Is it for "equality?" Should we grant "equality" to pregnant women, diabetics, color blind people, obese people, etc. Or is it because you want to look like you are the "heroes?" You need to make certain requirements to join the military and with all the treatments the transgenders are getting, we don't want to pay for medical treatments. You also need to be mentally fit and people who are confused about their gender aren't exactly mentally fit.
This. The military turns away lots of people for a lot less.
