Is it caving or has Trump realized that the problem with illegal aliens and programs like DACA are much bigger and more difficult to solve then he ever thought? How could Trump know how much people love their illegal alien neighbors and how they are willing to fight so hard for them from DC to college campus?
It should be simple, people came here illegally, breaking our federal immigration laws so they should be arrested and sent back. There are very few countries in the world that treat illegal immigrants as well as we do. It is a real slap in the face to legal immigrants who followed our laws, paid their dues and earned their rightful spots in our society.
The problem is real and we all know it but the people that want to give the store away have bigger hearts then they do brains and it is all going to collapse someday.
Kind of like:

Here is my compromise. Provide all the children brought here illegally open ended visas.
They get to stay, and their children born here will be citizens.
Like with all other visa holders, they won't be eligible to vote, they will be deported for breaking the laws and they won't be eligible for some citizen benefits.
They can apply for citizenship just like anyone else.
You can't apply for citenzenship if you are not a green card holder or a have a permanent residency card regardless of how long you been here. You either give them a path to citenzenship or not.
You would also be saying that they couldn't marry anyone they wanted only us citizens. It's better than nothing but I don't see it
No. They can return with the same illegal aliens that brought them here keeping their families together which many have expressed is an issue.
Their children can be born in their country, the one to which they have allegiance.
No reason to create a special class of individuals when the law already has a remedy for the "situation", apprehend, detain and deport. They came here with their illegal alien parents who did not know the culture or the language and they can all go back and pick up where they left off.

Yes, I am. Arpaio is legally present in the US. Illegal aliens are also breaking the law but are foreigners. No reason whatsoever for the US Fed Gov to pardon foreigners who violate the law.

There has already been a path to citizenship that every legal immigrant takes. It's called "apply for legal immigration."
I've wanted to ask these adult Dreamers, have they ever bothered to go back to their home country and apply for US citizenship? Or are some of them 40 years old now and still haven't tried to become a US citizen?
These dreamers from Central America have a lot of advantages that other foreign nationals do not. They speak both English and Spanish, they have a good health and a good K-12 education, some even have an in-state college degree. Their incomes are much higher so they can save money, and they have a lot of friends and family and even job contacts here in the USA.
