Not really. This investigation has been going on for over a year now with different people/agencies and they still can't find anything.

At what point do you throw in the towel and say "We didn't find anything ?"

Right - because this Mafia has already been so well established, it should be allowed to continue and the 100's of Americans involved should be awarded medals for making money.

Nothing targeted about it. Lurching from this to that.

Manafort has been investigated twice now with secret wire taps and no evidence was found.

You think a third investigation will turn up something ?

Manafort has challenged Mueller to release transcripts from all his wiretapped calls which tells me he has nothing to hide.

....time to end this fishing expedition.
Kenneth Starr took 6 years to conclude the Clinton Whitewater investigation with there being insufficient evidence to charge the Clintons, over two terms. This investigation took many detours including investigating a suicide, dismissal of travel agents and Monica Lewinsky.

Washingtonpost.com: Whitewater Time Line

It's quite possible this investigation will persist for years and take some detours, too.

Both the Clinton and Trump families come with serious baggage, casts of oily characters and unprecedented conflicts of interest.

When all is said and done with the Trump investigation, I will not be surprised if it concludes there is insufficient evidence to charge Trump with anything, no different than the outcome of the Clinton investigations. However, like with Whitewater, others will likely be charged and convicted.

What the heck are you talking about?

They have found LOTS of things. Massive amounts of things.

If they found nothing they WOULD have just said "we didn't find anything". But they found so much that just the organization of all it as well as the decisions which will have to be made (how many to bring to trial, etc. etc.) is MASSIVE.

It takes a great imagination to whip up the idea of Staunch Republicans (Comey, Mueller, etc.) going on a wild goose chase...

At the same time, the OPPOSITE party (Ken Starr and GOP Congress) investigated Clinton over a real estate deal for 5+ years and found nothing on him related to it!

Fantastic.

Why not just come out and admit it? You probably would approve of "the end is worth the means" in selling out to the Russians......that at least would be a sane (but treasonous) point of view.

Any real American patriot would want this thing to go on for decades if, like the Mafia, it has now spread like a disease through our political class. Imagine - a folking GENERAL (Flynn) who undoubtedly did MANY things illegal and wrong. So many that it comes down to how many the government can try....or, they may get him to turn on others.

The question of whether there is a "there" there is already answered. There is.

Now - the open question(s) involves the way the Trump family and org are involved. At the very best, it could be "illegal, immoral, unethical, but not prosecutable"......at the worst....well, there could be dozens of counts where the law was broken.

Mueller will go down in history as a juvenile joke of a man (a boy), while President Trump will be the biggest legend in American history and perhaps world history.

You know, this is something that needs to be said. If you're declaring this Mueller investigation as "dirty and corrupt," and thus discrediting the results of the investigation before its completion, then all I can say is you're ripe for a dictatorship. Yes, that's right, a dictatorship.

If Trump decided to be a dictator, right here, right now, you would accept it, because you've already decided that he and he alone is the sole source of truth. Hell, you're already smearing Mueller without any legitimate basis, and he hasn't even had to lift a finger. The fact is, you've already decided in your minds that you will only accept ONE result of this investigation. That's why you seek to delegitimize it. If any other result is reached, it makes it easy for you not to accept it thanks to your dishonest smear campaign. THAT's what it means to be taken in by the cult of personality. You're loyal to the man, the personality, that is Donald Trump, and you will protect him at all costs.

Mueller is a by the book, honest guy, not to mention a Republican, with unimpeachable credentials. All these prominent lawyers and investigators he's hiring?....He's doing it because they're the best at what they do. If you want a full, fair investigation, then you get the best people. And for the record, Ken Starr's investigation of Clinton was full of partisanship. Not to mention the fact it went on for 6 years.

If some posters on here had their way, the only way an investigation will be accepted as legitimate is if Mueller hired the Dream Team of Jeff Sessions, Devin Nunes, Richard Burr, and Louie Gohmert as his lawyers and investigators.
