Donald Trump seems to be the most fiscally responsible President in American history.

Donald Trump is an economic hero for today's children and future generations. Debt has increased by less than a quarter of what Barack Obama did in his first 9 months.

Barack Obama tried as best as he could to run the nation's credit card at the expense of future generations, luckily today's children have a President that isn't going to burden by raiding their future incomes to pay for debt service.

Despite, his heroic response to the worst hurricanes in history that is widely praised the debt has increased 237 billion.

Under the first 9 months of what was the beginning of a presidency is fiscal horror's Barack Obama increased the federal deficit by 1.1 trillion dollars.

Then again everyone knew that the nation's finances would get better almost immediately because one of the most successful, seasoned businessman in history is now President.

Barack Obama objective was to run up as much debt as possible for instant gratification and left the bill to future generations.

There are even predictions of budget surplus by 2027. Sad, that Trump didn't rescue America from Barack Obama sad legacy in 2008.

And what was the economy like in early 2009 again? What is it like in 2017?

Ever hear of the concept of "apples to apples" and "apples to oranges"? Which would describe your comparison, I wonder?

Take politics out of it for a second there should been an overly obvious reason why the two amounts differ

It's better but that was the worst 9 trillion dollars of debt ever spent.

The infrastructure is a joke. Homelessness and Crime started skyrocketing under Barack Obama.

Seniors struggling because Barack Obama manipulated the inflation numbers so he could run up more debt for his hedge-manager friends to gamble away.

You would think for an additional 9 trillion in debt that his administration could have done something about the crumbling infrastructure, failing inner-city schools, homeless and crime skyrocketing again.

Why must people post such things?

Donald Trump is not one of the most successful, seasoned businessmen in history- he's just not. No matter how many superlatives you write about him, no matter how much praise you slavishly heap upon him, he's not a miracle worker.

You seriously underestimate how underfunded our infrastructure has been for a VERY long time. We don't care about funding our infrastructure in this country (that would mean more taxes), and it shows. We're talking about decades of neglect...you really expected a single president to fix this? You have too much faith in the power of one man.

You can choose to ignore the biggest recession in our country since the Great Depression...but that would be silly to do so. Comparing 2009 to 2017 makes almost no sense.

Conservatives don't understand that.

They forget what kind of economy Obama inherited (or they just don't want to admit it). They also forget the Obama took office during the absolute worst of it. The recession got no worse than it was at the end of 2008 and during the first half of 2009.

It seems to be lovecrowd's modus operandi to make apples to oranges comparisons. This one is about as stupid as his/her usual California vs Dakotas threads.

OP: "Donald Trump... 237 billion debt increase during first 8 months"

Sounds like a typical Donald Trump business venture... At least he's consistent.
