Some of it is ugly and bad. So is some rock. So is some country.
I'm telling me that, nobody else is. I'm not a fan of country either, but it's better than rap. Other genres have quality music and crap music, but rap is all crap.

Well, I guess we just disagree, then.

You know what I hate? Songs that romanticize adultery, no matter what genre. There have been many, and I hate them all.

Hitler was fond of Wagner, but then, I like it, too.

I think this whole study is one big, fat fail.

That was the song...

I need to make a 90s R&B cd. The music was so good back then.

Agree. I'd go further and say any song that tries to make promiscuity sound like romance is annoying, whether it's adulterous or not. I once worked at a place that played soft rock over the intercom all day and one of the songs that was played over and over was about a woman going to a guy's house at 2 in the morning looking for a booty call and the artist tried to make it sound all romantic. There is nothing romantic about a booty call.

Well then, the entire world is in trouble, as rap/hip hop is spreading rapidly throughout the entire globe in popularity. I guess by your logic, rap is destroying the entire world.

You better head for Mars, but my guess is that it will there eventually, too.

As the west goes, so goes the world, so if the west is in trouble it goes without saying that the rest of the world is too.

I can relate, because I once had someone tell me that rap music was the #1 biggest destructive influence on western culture. They were wrong.
