"Trump did say on Tuesday that he will travel to Puerto Rico to survey the damage, but not until next week."
you think that might be because the airport is shut down right no so no aircraft can get in? and do you think that considering the number of aircraft, people, and equipment the president travels with, even if the airport was open that it might cause problems maintaining the flow of supplies and stuff?
bush didnt fly into nola for that very reason, he did go later though.
According to the Los Angeles Times from today, only 59 hospitals are operational in Puerto Rico. Puerto Rico has a population of over 3.5 million people (minus anyone who was lucky enough to be able to evacuate).
Considering the veracity of Irma, hospital and aid ships should have been staffed and waiting to sail the moment the hurricane left Puerto Rico.
Water, food, medical aid, fuel; these aren't luxuries. They are essentials.

noun 1. a person who flees for refuge or safety, especially to a foreign country, as in time of political upheaval, war, etc.
But the US isn't a foreign country since they are US citizens. So they are not refugees.

alright, lets say the shis were loaded and ready to go, and were on the ocean just outside the hurricane area waiting for it to pass. now tell me genius how do the ships get into seaports THAT ARE SHUT DOWN DUE TO DAMAGE? how do you get the supplies into airport that is also shut down due to damage?
No water? Let them drink fruit punch
No electricity? Let them enjoy the beaches and enjoy some bonfires
No fuel? Enjoy the firefly show
You know, I get that your complete hatred of our President blinds you to reality, but just because you say it, doesn't make it so.
I have posted numerous updates over the past 2 days, mostly from the Department of Defense website. It is not difficult to look these things up yourself, instead of willingly believing the most recent batch of lies from the MSM.
For your convenience, here is today's update:
Situation Update:
Puerto Rico: Response operations continue as synchronization of efforts between the Title 10 forces/Puerto Rico National Guard/FEMA improve. Fuel distribution remains the top FEMA priority. Multiple DoD elements delivered fuel and continue route clearance operations. 59 of 69 hospitals are operational with unknown status. Roughly 44 percent of the population remains without drinking water. The San Juan Airport and nine other airports are open. Three seaports are open and five are open with restrictions.
USVI: The J.F. Luis Hospital in St. Croix has been found to be structurally sound. Power has been restored to the Schneider Hospital on St. Thomas. Airports are closed except for military and relief operations. Eight seaports are open with restrictions.
You think Trump is deliberately letting this cluster**** develop to drive people from their homes so he can buy up land for condo/golf course developments and then use FEMA money to build, like he tapped into 9/11 money for small businesses?

We'll go around this tree one more time.
For those with no imagination on how one might ferry patients from land to ship anchored a short distance off shore.
HELICOPTERS
Got that? Helicopters.
Another thought. Now this is an outlandish one, so hang on to your hat.
Clear the damage away. Bring the ship in.
Radical idea, but I'm sure someone has thought of it.
But you can't bring the freaking hospital ship in if it has never left port.
The idea that Trump, FEMA, and the military are doing all they can is just nonsense.
There are news reporters showing FEMA workers wandering around without any leadership, any direction.
Where is the General Honore directing this all?
People are dying in hospitals waiting for fuel for generators -- a week after the storm has passed.
Deplorables may defend this incompetence and inactions, but sane people aren't.
