Police say a toddler accidentally shot and wounded two other children at a home day care facility in suburban Detroit.
Dearborn Police Chief Ronald Haddad says a preliminary investigation has determined that the toddler "accessed a handgun and the weapon discharged" at around 10:20 a.m. Wednesday.
There's several different articles if you look around a bit. It happened Wednesday morning:
1: It's an unlicensed daycare, because they supposedly only take care of direct friends and relatives children, and felt they didn't need a license.
2: They aren't saying what caliber gun it was, BUT, apparently it had a chambered bullet, and was either cocked, or double-action and a toddler was able to pull the trigger. It was also mentioned there were other guns available in the house.
3: It was only a single shot discharged, that went through TWO other 3 year old "toddlers".
4: The two toddlers are now stabilized, but they aren't saying what body parts were shot or damaged
My prayers are with the children..and..straight to jail with the idiots that actually billed themselves as a safe place for children..and had loaded, unsecured weapons where the children could access them!
People who leave loaded guns where children can get to them need to be locked away for a minimum of ten years, and 30 to life if anyone is harmed or killed by their negligence.

despite the fact that i am pro second amendment, i have to agree with these posts. anyone who leaves their guns unsecured when children are around, need to be punished.
Well it did say they were consulting on if and what charges would be most appropriate.
Perhaps the States attorney is looking for anything and everything he can throw at them before filing the first one.
