Just because democrat politicians say they support this or that cause, does not mean they actually do. It usually means they're looking for a way to embarrass their opponents, and get votes from those who really do care about a cause.

You know this by the open borders vs. the border security and wall debate. If the hoards of people waltzing into the US were likely to be voting mostly republican, the left would demand a nuclear missile every 10 ft on our borders, at shipyards and airports. In other words, the left wants as many democratic voters they can get, even if it means not enforcing our illegal alien laws.

Please stop with the stupid sematic tricks. Conservatism of today, as used in common parlance, is advocacy of limited government. The federalists of the 18th century would be to the right of the current republican party, and the anti-federalists would be closer to the Libertarian Party of today, which is generally regarded as way to the extreme right by today's liberals.

There is no counterpart today to the Loyalists (Tories) who wanted to remain a Brit colony. Please provide just one example of a conservative today who advocates return to colonial status. You can't. It's ridiculous to even suggest.

You made a claim (actually several of them) with ZERO supporting factual evidence. You don't get to make a claim and pronounce it as proven with no evidence. This is the logical fallacy of 'begging the question' (basically assuming that which is to be proven).

You prove your case, and then I will be happy to respond to your further challenges, as I'm sure will be LHC.

In Durham a black college student was awarded a free education for breaking the law. I cannot wait until this corruption stops and the sooner the better. We have had enough of this junk! The only victims in most of these cases are the taxpayers who have to pay for all their destruction.
No, it's taxpayers that are paying for Trump's golfing and Tom Price's private jets. But I'm sure you have no outrage over that.

Getting rid of affirmative action is supporting racial equality and treating people irregardless of color.

Lol... You prove it! I'll be waiting. Lets see how many times you deflect from this. This will be good.

What part of less government don't you understand? It was the progressives who got us Jim Crow. They love to expand government and stomp on the rights of the individual.
It was the progressives who got us AA and quotas. They love to expand government and stomp on the rights of the individual.
It was the progressives who got government involved in the marriage business in the first place. They love to expand government and stomp on the rights of the individual.

That you can't see is on you, not the conservatives.

I couldn't come up with one. Why don't conservatives just admit they don't support racial equality? That all their excuses are just coverups for the fact that they don't want a fair criminal justice system or racial equality. Let's go through some real-life examples:

Athletes/Non-athletes
When NFL players kneeled during the national anthem, conservatives said athletes should just shut up and play.
--but--
When non-athletes protest like during marches in D.C. and New York, conservatives have a problem with that too.

Flag/Non-flag
When NFL players kneeled during the anthem, conservatives said it was disrespectful of veterans.
--but--
There have been plenty of racial equality protests that take place when the national anthem isn't being played and when the flag isn't being flown. Conservatives still don't support them.

Hollywood/Non-Hollywood
When actors make political speeches during award shows, conservatives say Hollywood needs to stay out of it.
--but--
When millions of people across the country who aren't actors make the same points, conservatives bash them.

Violent/Non-violent

When black people get into physical altercations or damage property after hearing verdicts of cops being found not guilty, conservatives bash them for being violent.
--but--
When black people make peaceful protests such as NBA players simply wearing t-shirts that say "I Can't Breathe", conservatives call the act inappropriate.

Rich/Middle-class
When Hollywood, athletes, or other rich liberals make pleas for criminal justice reform, conservatives say those people are out of touch with what America wants because they're rich.
--but--
99% of the starters and participants in protests and racial equality movements are middle-class or poor; conservatives put down these people.

So will conservatives admit that they're just faking when it comes to being pro-flag, anti-rich, anti-athlete, etc.? Will conservatives finally be honest and admit that they will be against ANY AND ALL calls for criminal justice reform and racial equality? Tell the truth, shame the devil.
No, they have not. Only later once something is broadly accepted most of them believed in equality...or so we thought until Trump came along. Its a real shame because if conservatives actually lived the values they claim to believe in, they would have broad support.

I guess you could say that a bunch of conservatives from the North fought the liberals from the south to free the slaves. That's a pretty good one.

Who would today's conservatives side with in that fight?
