Sounds like a dog whistle for "those lazy no good Puerto Ricans just want a federal handout."
i'm sure.
your ears must be tuned to hypermegasensitive liberal mode, which allows you to invent whatever meaning you want.

That's basically the same for the rest of the world. You can live in Mexico, France, Japan, or anywhere else and if you earn income from Florida you have to pay US federal taxes on it.

Not at all. "They want everything done for them" means what it says. The President is directly accusing every PR citizen of being helpless and lazy. From the video I've seen of the residents my impression is that many of them are being hardy and are coping the best they can.

In my neighborhood in Florida people
were out doing what they could. Removing trees, debris of the streets. The people have to help themselves in P R. Even the elderly were out doing what they could. The heat and humidity was horrid. PR has to get it together and not run stateside. They have to help. The supplies have to get through.
I see lots of pictures of people helping themselves. The problem is blaming Trump when he seems to have put in place what he could and the country is so devastated no one can get the supplies where they need to go.

But it's disgusting for a president to criticize like that. It makes him look mean and petty. I wish for once he could ignore criticism from others without hitting back.

At least Trump isn't worried that it might tip over and capsize.

Why is she spending her time on twitter ? She should be spending her time talking to the governor and to her local people trying to get them to show up to work. They are not helping their families by staying home. They are preventing their families from getting the help they need by staying home.
