Since automatic weapons are already illegal, a semi-automatic weapon still requires a ratio of one trigger pull per shot fired, so except for the rare instances where humans have trained to the extent of being able to manually pull a trigger 1.666 times per second, there are already laws in place that cover exactly what you describe.
From what I understand a bump stock will allow a semi-auto to be fired 400-800 times a minute, if that's incorrect feel free to provide more accurate information, I got that figure from popular science.

Now the authorities are openly speculating that Paddock "may" have been radicalized and that the massacre was politically motivated. Well, that's a start although if the Deep State throws Antifa under the bus to cover their tracks its not a win for anybody.
This massacre was done to push for gun control and Paddock was only the fall guy. You people say you don't want crazies to have guns, well why don't you march on Washington and take them.... from the feds.

We aren't going to get rid of guns, people want their guns for all sorts of reasons, and I get that. But I think it's reasonable to limit the kind of guns people can own to those that won't allow for firing hundreds of bullets within a few minutes - that's just insane. If people want to play with guns like that, or fire machine guns then let them rent them and use them safely at a range, but this crap is just getting out of hand. I wonder if the next thing the NRA will push for is legalizing suitcase nukes.

A bump stock is an accessory, not a gun. My point was that guns that fire as many rounds (because thats what you said, guns) as you said ARE for the most part illegal. Accessories to modify them to do so are a different story.

Default How to STOP a shooter 32 floors up.

All that must be done is for the event coordinators shall hire several swat snipers for events that take place near tall buildings.

Charge a quarter extra per ticket to pay for each officers pay.

5000 people multiplied by a quarter is $1250.

$300 bucks each to the officers.

Problem solved.

Don't all police forces have snipers? Why didn't they just take him out when they knew what window the shots were coming from.
