Harvey Weinstein has been fired from the independent film company he co-founded and catapulted to Oscar glory, felled by a mushrooming sexual harassment scandal that has hobbled his status as a media mogul and left his future in Hollywood in jeopardy. The Weinstein Company’s board of directors has voted to remove Weinstein from the studio, leaving control of the company in the hands of Weinstein’s brother, Bob Weinstein, and chief operating officer David Glasser, it was announced in a statement from the company Sunday.
Because they made a lot of money as a result of putting up with it until they had enough of said money that they didn't. Funny how that works.

The ugly Harvey Weinstein story broke in the New York Times on Thursday - decades of harassment against women ..... and it was pretty much an open secret. Weinstein donated a lot of money to the Democrats, but his major contribution was the Hollywood Fund Raisers he hosted for them. Those fund raisers are what really bring in the Big Bucks.

A review of Weinstein's donation history available courtesy of the Center for Responsive Politics reveals he's gifted the Democratic National Committee with at least $245,790 worth of donations since 1994. Since 2002, Weinstein has donated $103,900 to Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee. From 1993 to 2013, he sent the Democratic Congressional Campaign Commitee $23,200 as well.
A number of high-profile Democrats have taken money from Weinstein over the years, including Sens. Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., Kirsten Gillibrand, D-N.Y., Al Franken, D-Minn., Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., and Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif. But the two most notable recipients of Weinstein's political donations are Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama, whose daughter interned with the producer's company earlier this year.
The New York Times article was helpfully accompanied by a photo of Clinton and Weinstein at Time magazine's "100 Most Influential People" event in 2014, her hands placed on his chest.
In 2016, Weinstein personally donated at least $33,500 to the Hillary Victory Fund, according to Federal Election Commission records. He donated around $300,000 to the Democratic National Committee - they are now "donating" 10% of that Harasser Money to Far Left Groups like Emilie's List, which exists to donate money to Democrats. It's called Shuffling the Deck Chairs.
So - to answer your question - Will they give the money back?
No, they won't and for a couple of reasons. First is they probably don't have the money to give back, fund raising is going poorly for the Democrats and they owe a lot of money and Second is they just don't want to give it back ..... they need it. So they will pretend to give money away, but it will be just percentages and given to groups that will gift it back to them. It's all a Scam.

I was reading articles on this and some of the celebs said that this was an "open secret" for decades about him.
So they all knew and just turned a blind eye. But now that he's been outed they all voice their disgust and the politicians are quick to say they'll donate that campaign money to womens' causes.
Big bunch of hypocrites if you ask me.
