That is the problem with our legal and court system. Some like Bill Cosby, Bill O'reilly or Bill Clinton (lots of bad bills) can just pay off women and not have to face any consequences. And a lot of women are just too intimidated to say anything.
Now we have Harvey who has been doing the same thing for decades. He should be locked up. To me what he did in the elevator was sexual assault and he should be a sex offender like Anthony Wiener.
If he did it in front of me in an elevator he would have had a swift kick in the nuts. And a cell phone pic. This happened 10 years ago? WTH is wrong with women who don't say anything for years? Makes them look opportunistic when it comes out in the midst of other stuff years later.
If he did that in front of me in an elevator, I'd puke all over it. What a disgusting person he is. He's got as much sex appeal as, oh, say Michael Moore.
Harvey Weinstein once trapped a woman in the hallway of a restaurant that was closed to the public and masturbated in front of her until he ejaculated, she says. The accusation comes a day after Weinstein was the subject of a bombshell New York Times report that revealed that he has settled at least eight sexual harassment claims.
The incident took place a decade ago, according to Lauren Sivan, who at the time was a news anchor on a local cable channel in New York, Long Island 12. She says the experience left her shocked, and that while she told friends privately what happened, she remained quiet because she was in a long-term relationship and fearful of the power that Weinstein wielded in the media.
This is why I have trouble with issues being settled out of court. Dude should be locked up. Total deviant behavior.
My reaction is that I assume adults are generally rational human beings, especially when they run businesses, are professional people. That story just sounds irrational.

Let's see if he denies this particular account.
There is a running track record of his behavior in the court system - which lends to the probability that this actually happened.
Wasn't Weinstein a huge democrat donor, fundraiser.
Yes, but that shouldn't matter. They got all bent out of shape over some locker room talk of a man they claim lies about everything (except that apparently) when he spoke of grabbing a woman, when there's no proof that it ever happened, and they're letting this slide?
Something in the neighborhood of $1.8 million was raised at Harvey Weinstein’s star-packed fundraiser for Hillary Clinton in New York City Monday night, sources tell Deadline. The event for 50 or so Clinton supporters at Weinstein’s Manhattan home drew some major Hollywood names, including Leonardo DiCaprio, Jennifer Lopez, Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick, Candice Bergen, Bethenny Frankel and designers Vera Wang and Tory Burch.

On the other side - this has been around as an open secret for decades...
Then we learned that Weinstein’s defenders included lawyer Lisa Bloom, former special counsel to Bill Clinton Lanny Davis, and former Obama White House communications director Anita Dunn, while Weinstein lashed out against the NRA (!) in a personal statement.
We should now be at the point where intrepid journalists track down Democrat politicians and ask if they’ll return their donations from Hollywood, and where those celebrities distance themselves from Weinstein with blistering statements of their own.
Instead, we seem to be getting a big yawn from people who knew all of this all along but … didn’t care?
The various statements are at the link.
