I don't really give a crap about Harvey Weinstein. He's not our problem--he's Hollywood's problem.
When Trump does or says idiotic things, he is the country's problem.
When Harvey Weinstein runs for president, or can affect issues of national policy it will be an issue. Such as when Trump's sexual assaults became public--he was running for president.
And if it doesn't bother you that the president of the US has been accused of all kinds of sexual assault, but you are appalled by Weinstein's actions (and his religious affiliation), you would be a hypocrite.
People knew, it's like the Warren Beatty test if you're a up and coming actress you had to meet with Harvey and he'll make you a deal. He has movie deals and if you become one of his girlfriends then he'll let you pick the role. So those actresses that turned him down will get black-listed and be forced to find a rich husband instead of pursing an acting career.
The sad part of this, it isn't Harvey only... you can say that just about any producers and directors these days want favors in exchange for favors.
Ya might wanna put down the shovel before you dig that hole any deeper. Because I'm not sure whether you're condoning that behavior. If you are then you're clearly part of the problem.
Look if someone comes to a person for any form of work, you don't hire them because they'll give out when pressured. You hire them because they'll turn you a financial profit from that form of work. Further if they don't give out you have zero justification for blacklisting them, what you want to destroy their careers because they won't let you mess with their pink parts? How the hell old are these people? Even worse it adds to the pressure when trying to get that job, because 'word gets around'.
I sometimes despair at the human race, coming from a misanthrope that's a pretty damning admission.
Please. Trump supporters called everything Trump said and did "locker room talk" and because he "was a man, real man". Suddenly they are all up in arms about Weinstein while ignoring Roger Ailes and Bill O'Reilly. Talk about hypocrisy.
They pretend Ailes and OReilly don't exist.

It's so dumb to turn this into a right vs left issue.
Men in power have LONG used it to sexually abuse women (and apparently men as well). There is nothing new about this under the sun. America has looked the other way for years. Nothing about it is good or right.
Yes, Republican men sexually assault women - just like Democratic men. Republican men abuse little boys.
Poor little Jimmy is so confused. He had tears for a Lion but will stay silent about sexual abuse in Hollywood.
