I was just suggesting that Trump has done his best to attempt to screw up what was finally the end to this. Bergdahl pleaded guilty to desertion so all that remained was sentencing but he may have just extended the trial.
But yes I do think that he should walk with some discipline, his life is over one way or the other.
I would suggest what his fellow platoon mates and others said had way more impact on a potential jury than anything candidate Trump said.
Obama and others did there very best to negate/minimize what Bowe did only to be countered by those that were actually there sleeping next to him.
He would be getting off light, then. There were no bullets in that gun, and it was just a movie. That wasn't a real cop. It was just an actor. He's not a real soldier, either, or a real cowboy.
Nobody gets hurt for reals in the movies.
I thought you already knew that. Sorry to burst your bubble.
The real world is a bit more complicated than the movies.
I think hes going to end up getting off scott free or close to it. I dont understand the legal system really. Why would trumps comments get it delayed? He is getting judged by judge. The judge has no bias unlike a civilian jury.

The defense is essentially arguing that no military judge can be disinterested because of the president's interest.
I doubt that will wash with the judge--he's not going to agree that he's influenced by the president--but it's more likely the defense is setting up the case for an appeal to the civilian federal appellate court.

Trump just can't help himself, he probably thought reinforcing his comments prior to his presidency was fine since he wasn't president. He was wrong again and just dragged this out even longer. Regardless of Bergdahl's plea the argument could be made relative to sentencing.
