NO! That would essentially give the police even more excuses. And an even bigger green light to shoot first after some black person sneezes too hard or "aggressively turns their back" as one poster put it in another thread. We saw how stupid the cop got when Philando announced that he was legally carrying.
What will give police even more authority to kill blacks would be harsher gun laws--precisely what happened with the drug laws.
What will happen is this: Just as with drugs, the harsher laws and sentences will be designed for circumstances that are narrowly "black" in character.
Whenever American declares a "War on...." it always turns out to be a war on black men. Always. That's the way America works.
this can be seen in France for example were police have guns and while their have been cases of abuse not many people have been shot because the police know very few people have guns.
A lot of times american cops shoot unarmed people. Assumption of the presence of a weapon has nothing to do with it, training and culture do. French cops file a report (3 copies of must will be kept) each time they draw their guns from the holster. Each and every single police shooting will trigger an investigation. They will however, happily beat down your behind or shoot you in the head with flashballs.
In regards to the topic at hand, I do not believe so called patriots will ever use the 2nd amendment for its intended purpose. They'll let their guns sit in the safe with 5K of ammo and watch their country being taken over one inch at a time. So far, in almost all instances, armed civilians shooting back in response to government oppression have been african american.
Who in their right mind thinks that you can protect yourself from police brutality with a gun???
How about those who are shooting or trying to shoot the police ?
Are they in their right mind or just criminals because not all criminals are mentally ill, or are they ?
If cops are going around shooting unarmed minorities, wouldn't we want to get more armed minorities to counter that? Why would we want to take away guns from minorities in cities by imposing heavy gun control laws when the police are supposedly brutalizing minorities there?
It seems that those kneeling in stadiums to protest the police and the BLM marchers protesting police actions against unarmed people and those that want people to have less ways to defend themselves against cops and other government officials have an idealogical conflict, don't they?
"Gun Control" had it's beginning in keeping Black people from having guns -- the Democrats and Leftists never wanted Black people to have guns, just as they didn't want them to have the vote.
Ronald Reagan and others like him are leftists? The south was filled with leftists that wanted strong central government then? Or are you projecting on to leftists when their were non involved.
