If so, what is it? Republicans have been very clear that they oppose environmental regulations, as if the very idea of a clean stream should be illegal. It wasn't always this way. Republicans used to genuinely care about the environment. When did it change? When did the environment become the enemy? Is there any aspect of protecting the environment that Republicans would vote to protect regardless of the desires of wealthy GOP donors?
