Yes, that's what the Russian propaganda says.

Because after all, a man who wasn't a Democrat to begin with has every right to expect the Democratic Party to nominate him over a lifelong Democrat who'd served in multiple government roles as a Democrat.

Fox News and candidate Trump referred to Bernie as a victim.
No foreign propaganda was necessary.
And CNN was caught red-handed slipping debate questions to Hillary, so Bernie was definitely a victim, and Hillary was a cheat.

Foreign propaganda advanced the narrative. Period.

Bernie wasn't a victim. He was an Independent seeking the Democratic Party's nomination. It isn't surprising that Democrats chose a Democrat.

Foreign propaganda had no impact on anyone who watches Fox News or watches Trump rallies, because Bernie was mentioned by both regularly, so foreign propaganda would be redundant.
Plus what percentage of people read facebook news?
I never knew facebook had news, never seen any evidence of a facebook news site.
There are dozens of other places people would get their news before facebook.
Anyway Bernie was a victim because Hillary was a cheat.
She didn't just get help from CNN, she didn't tell anyone it happened.
Her nomination was therefore invalid.

Clinton and the left wing media cheated. That is worse than any foreign entity pointing out the cheating.

Foreign propaganda may have had an impact on someone who doesn't watch Fox News or attend Trump rallies. And it may have had an impact on those who do as well. As much as they might want to deny it.

Bernie wasn't a victim. He ran for the nomination of a party he wasn't a member of.

I'm not denying that you are speculating that foreign propaganda had an election-changing impact.

The foreign power was playing up the negatives, and making up stuff. And Trump supporters just lapped it up! Because anything that supports their bias is Gggrreatttt! And that's what we see on this thread.

I'm not just saying this about Trump supporters. We are all guilty of it. We each have our own perspectives, and when we hear or read something that supports our points-of-view, we think it's credible in part because it does support our point-of-view. We don't fact-check it as thoroughly as we would something that challenges our point-of-view. That's true for all of us.

But there is a lot of misinformation out there, especially about the Clintons. And the Russians took advantage of that, played up the misinformation, and worked mightily to divide Americans even more than we were already divided. The Russians didn't really care who won the election, though they favored Trump, but they really care about undermining faith in American democracy. They really care about reducing the influence America has around the globe. They see this as an opportunity to expand their influence.

So it is important for Americans to understand the scope of Russian efforts, both in 2016 and today. And it's important for Americans to find ways to work together, to find common goals, to be able to negotiate our way forward. The Russians are delighted at the schisms in our political landscape. They don't understand that there have always been schisms, and yet we've always found ways to work together.
