Then you agree with me they are not poor by world standards. And they themselves, could send $1-2 a day to feed the truly poor and starving in this world, but instead they spend it on beer, cigarettes, drugs and soda. All the while, crying NO FAIR, the rich have to give us more. Hypocrites!
I agreed that the poor in America do not look like that. Don't you DARE put other words in my mouth. Do. Not. Do. It.
What the heck is wrong with you? You're the only one comparing the poverty stricken in America those in third world countries. Why do you think that is even a valid comparator?
My guess? That's where Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg, etc. Send their millions of $$$$$$ instead of helping poor Americans here in the US.
I didn’t know this is rocket science. Everyone should pay $0 on their income, profit and property and implement a consumption based tax.
A consumption based tax is already in the Congressional hopper, it is an explicit tax on the inability to buy a home. Why do you support an explicit tax on the inability to buy a home?
I'm not convinced that's anyone's fault but those who are unable/incapable of retaining their own wealth. Every homeowner I know started out as a renter years ago, including myself.
There are millions of working Americans with no realistic hope of buying a home, so "Get a Job" cannot be the answer.

The Zuckerbergs have also given hundreds of millions to different public school systems around the US to fund after school courses, equipment, books, etc.
I don't follow the Gateses so you're as qualified as I am to google it. With the Zuckerbergs, an old company of mine helped them with some of their grants so I'm more familiar with what they do. And they also do a fair amount that is kept private.
$75 million? That's it? There are 73 million on Medicaid. They can't have health care for only a little over $1 each for life.
