I was watching reruns of the Tonight Show with Johnny Carson. I miss Carson. That was the golden age of late night TV.

I don't watch any of the late night shows . I used to watch Leno Conan and some others back in the day but I just don't see much appeal . Especially now hearing that the " funniest" jokes are about Trump on most of these shows it doesn't seem too appealing .

I know they always joked about the Presidents but it seems like there is just a real nasty type bitter and negative type of undertone nowadays .

Good for Fallon that he doesn't want to focus his entire shtick on attacking Trump.
It's become so tired and cliche.

Police? EMS? Military? Doctors? Nurses? Pilots?

Seems like an idiotic statement to me.

Never liked Fallon much but good for him. Colbert/Kimmel etc...its getting old. I still dont see any smoke coming from the fires that the left is crying about. The economy is up, my 401k is killing it, my company is doing well, jobs are being created. Im pretty sure things are just fine despite what the media is telling you.

Spot on. If Trump can get tax reform passed, you see it even get better. That is key.

What he refuses to do, Seth Meyers more than makes up for on the late show. Thats all he does is slam Trump. Seth Meyers makes it very clear that NBC and his show are on a personal crusade against Trump. Dude doesnt even really have any creative material outside of criticizing Trump. Then when his guests come on they both ratchet up the slander machine. Even for someone who isnt fond of Donald Trump, it gets old and repetitive quick.

I find it hilarious that in this article Fallon basically says that political commentary isn't his type of humor, Trump's presidency is bleak and hard to find humor in -- and the OP thinks Fallon is being decent about the whole thing.

Oh okay......lol.
His Presidency is bleak . . . if you voted for Hillary .

The media is the one that puts the "dark " spin on Trump's Presidency .

To me having Hillary in power would be bleak .

Boring and bland. Stopped watching him long before the election.

Jimmy Fallon’s Ratings Woes Are About More Than His Trump Problem

Eh...pick your poison. I am not so sure we will survive Trump's presidency. It all depends on what happens in North Korea. Right now, Tillerson is the only thing keeping us out of WWIII.

Had Hillary had won, my guess is that we would be seeing rising tensions with Russia instead of NK, but the end result would be the same; global nuclear war.
