I enjoy a political debate as much as anyone, and I'll call out the idiots in government any day of the week, no matter what side they are on. But putting your political feeling over humanitarian needs is ridiculous.

all the military bases (32 of them), will no longer be federal...you will lose that money

all the defense contractors....you lose that to (55 billion worth)

then there is the money Cali OWES the federal government....California borrowed $10 billion from the federal government to shore up its recession-battered Unemployment Insurance Fund. Even though the state’s economy is now booming, it still owes the feds about $8 billion.
California is paying interest on the loan, an estimated $174.5 million this year, according to a new report from the state Employment Development Department, and the balance is shrinking only because in lieu of direct payments, the Department of Labor has raised taxes on employers.

not to mention all the 'other' federal agencies that have FEDERAL employees in California....200,000 FEDERAL employees (most making atleast 60k)... you lose all that FEDERAL incomes and revenue that the FEDERAL government GIVES your state...these employees SPEND money in your state

Matter of opinion. It’s a hell of a lot drier than where I live.

Wildfires there are as common as mosquitoes here in that area but they build McMansions everywhere.

Makes sense in California I guess. I would feel worse for North Korea.

Fantastic, however, this is what you posted...

“sorry its the other states that keep cali floating...they get more federal money than they send in in taxes”

and this is incorrect.

http://www.politifact.com/california...re-it-gets-dc/

“The LAO also cites figures from a March 2016 report by the Pew Charitable Trusts. It found the federal government spent nearly $356 billion in California in fiscal year 2014, for salaries and wages, grants, contracts, retirement benefits and other benefits. That same year, California paid about $369 billion in total federal tax -- or about $13 billion more than it received -- according to the Internal Revenue Service Data Book, 2014”.

People build McMansions everywhere there's natural beauty... hurricane, earthquake, wildfire, or snowstorm be damned.

Also, unless you also consider Spain and Italy deserts, the climate in NorCal is not at all desert-like. It's quite lush.
