Indeed they are. And the only practical solution is to legalize them. Whereupon they are no longer illegal.
And those who prevent that legalization simply continue the problem. They are the basic support of the illegal alien.
Oh, OK - we're going to reward lawbreaking and people who didn't play by the rules, all so the democrats can have an unbeatable majority for the next 50 years.
Whatever the wall costs, it will be money well spent, considering the billions per year illegals currently cost us.
You are not taking into consideration how much revenue is brought in on the war on drugs, this supports growing prison and law enforcement industries as well. Cutting off or drastically reducing the flow of drugs into the US would be very destructive to the economy and to the police state.
In order to justify continued funding for the war on drugs, there needs to be a significant drug problem, therefore the drug supply must be consistent. Its sort of like the war on terror...they need a certain amount of terrorism in order to continually justify fighting a war against it.
When they add up the cost of illegals, they never add in all the $24 billion a year that leaves our country in remittances .
One year of those remittances staying in this country would pay for a YUGE wall.
